Pakistani furniture exports in the first five months of the 2021-2022 fiscal year-on-year rose 206.05 per cent, PFC Chief Executive Mian Ashfaq said on Sunday. “During this period, Pakistani furniture exports reached us $364.5 million, compared with us $119.1 million in the same period last year,”said Ashfaq. The furniture industry has the potential to dominate the global market with innovative design and can make a significant contribution to exports. However, we urgently need a set of stimulative and convenient measures to promote the growth of export volume. If the government gives full support to the furniture industry, furniture exports will reach $5 billion over the next five years. We hope that under the leadership of the Prime Minister of the Imran Khan, the furniture industry will flourish in the years to come, mian Ashfaq insisted on the need to find global markets to increase exports of Pakistani goods and stressed the need for entrepreneurs to help local industries across the board. “Pakistan has rich resources and our people have the best job skills to help the country develop to the same level as developed countries,”added Mian Ashfaq.
